Thank you for visiting my website.

I moved to Hawaii in 1979 from the San Francisco Bay Area, where I received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley in 1972.

After owning and operating businesses here in Hawaii I began my career with New England Financial, a MetLife affiliate in 1989.  Through the years I have obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certification, CLU® (Chartered Life Underwriter), ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant), CLTC (Certified in Long Term Care) and LUTCF (Life Underwriting Training Council Fellowship).  I am licensed to sell insurance in HI, CA, OR, NY as well as other states.

My practice began with a small business focus. I soon discovered the family aspect of small business and became increasingly aware of estate conservation strategies. I was asked to join the board of and became Vice President of Make-A-Wish Hawaii in 2002.  Because of my commitment to children and the family, I decided to focus my practice in helping families with special needs children and dependents plan for the future of their family.

I help families answer the questions:

  • Who will take care of my child when I am not able
  • How will they have a good quality of life
  • How will they maintain government benefit eligibility?

Special needs planners must demonstrate not only an excellence in servicing clients in the areas of insurance and planning, but must also show a commitment to educating and aiding the special needs community. Therefore, I am not  only a resource but also an advocate for our special needs community.

I work with my clients to help achieve both short and long-term goals. I help individuals, professionals and business owners with the design and implementation of estate and business plans as well as business continuity, financial and tax saving strategies.

As a person who has special needs in his family, I have made a commitment to the special needs community to help parents in similar situations.  I am on the Board of Directors of the Arc in Hawaii, as well as a member of the down Congress, and a supporter of the various Autism societies, the Special Olympics as well as other organizations

My purpose is to help clients to determine their priorities and how to satisfy future needs.
